Multi-layers EVOH film (PP EVOH PP)

Advantages of low gas permeability with sterilisation :

• EVOH provides high barrier properties to oxygen and other gases.
• Outstanding barrier to flavour and aroma permeation
• Excellent resistance to temperature

This barrier film can be use with different process of lamination like glue, heat lamination, calendaring, IML, lining, wrapping or thermoforming. This high barrier film can also be made peelable.

Applications : pouches, barrier trays or containers, flowpack

Largely used to make pouches and also to make containers or pp trays barrier to gas.

With PP trays, this PP/EVOH film is often calendered on the tray.

One external layer can be made of PE to give a better sealing with the lidding film.

The film gives excellent barrier results when used in IML (injection moulding labelling). Due to PP which gives a good resistance to temperature and low permeability to water vapour, the PP EVOH gives excellent results.

For other applications (pouches, lidding films,web base,bagging with flowpack system, vertical and horizontal bagging) this gas barrier film is laminated on PET or OPP.
